Weentchell Votaire, editor and publisher of the weekly magazine, Le Rouleau, said that his offices in Port-au-Prince and all of the equipment inside, including printing presses, were lost in the earthquake.
The building collapsed and 10 employees were killed, Voltaire said in a letter requesting help.
“I have lost everything, including my house and other possessions,” he said. “While I am not asking for charity, I am in need of help for simple sustenance.”
